Posh Lyon Announces Debut Single "When It Goes Down"

Atlanta Collective Unites Legendary Artists From Punk, Electronic, Jazz, and Experimental Music

ATLANTA, GA — Some bands are formed by chance. Others are built through decades of friendship, collaboration, and a shared belief that music can inspire people to see the world differently.

Posh Lyon is the meeting point of three accomplished artists whose careers have taken remarkably different paths before converging at The Green House Atlanta, where they wrote, produced, and recorded their debut album.

The band's debut single, "When It Goes Down," released worldwide on June 26, 2026. It is the first of nine songs from Posh Lyon's debut full-length album, For My Heroes, arriving this fall.

Blending electronic music, reggae, calypso, hip-hop, psychedelic textures, and fearless experimentation, For My Heroes delivers songs rooted in peace, resilience, freedom, and the belief that music can help bring people together.

At the center of the project is Chuck Treece, a legendary musician, professional skateboarder, and one of the most influential figures to bridge skateboarding and music culture. Best known as the founder of McRad, Treece has spent decades recording and performing with artists including HR of Bad Brains, Jill Scott, Santigold, and countless others. On For My Heroes, Treece brings his unmistakable voice, songwriting, and multi-instrumental talents to the forefront.

Joining him is Rosey, an internationally acclaimed independent recording artist, producer, songwriter, and co-producer of For My Heroes. Throughout her remarkable career, Rosey has toured internationally as both a solo artist and with her electronic project Lal Meri, including multiple performances on the legendary Los Angeles radio program Morning Becomes Eclectic. Her music has appeared in television series, feature films, and national advertising campaigns for more than two decades while building devoted listeners around the world. Long before her recording career, Rosey spent four years as a college radio DJ at WERS in Boston, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for independent music and the vital role college radio plays in introducing audiences to new artists. She also continues to perform jazz, bringing another dimension to her diverse musical career.

Completing the trio is Aaron Hill—producer, songwriter, recording engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and co-producer of the album. Aaron is co-owner of The Green House Atlanta and is also known for his experimental project Loud Dave Noise, where psychedelic composition, avant-garde production, and innovative sampling create immersive sonic experiences. His production style provides the sonic foundation that ties together the band's diverse influences.

The album also features Atlanta vocalist Bovell, whose soaring harmonies bring warmth, soul, and emotional depth to the record. A member of the acclaimed Atlanta band Moonlark, Bovell's voice beautifully complements Rosey's throughout the album. For My Heroes also includes songwriting contributions from honorary band member Patrick Taylor of Trash Panda, whose collaborative writing helped shape several of the album's standout tracks.

Together, these artists have created something far greater than the sum of their individual careers. Posh Lyon is not simply another band—it is a collaboration between musicians from punk rock, jazz, electronic music, experimental sound art, and indie rock, united by a shared belief that music can encourage compassion, raise consciousness, and remind us of our common humanity.

Posh Lyon has already appeared at several Atlanta-area music festivals and will continue performing throughout 2026, including appearances at Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival and Tunes From the Tombs at Historic Oakland Cemetery on September 26.

Following the release of "When It Goes Down," Posh Lyon will continue unveiling music from For My Heroes with their second single, "The Path," arriving on July 31, 2026. Bursting with infectious ragga-inspired dance grooves, reggae rhythms, and uplifting electronic energy, "The Path" explores the beauty of love taking root in the midst of a war-torn city. It is a song about hope triumphing over despair, reminding us that even in humanity's darkest moments, love has the power to illuminate a new way forward.
