POSH LYON UNVEILS FOR MY HEROES, A GENRE-BENDING DEBUT BUILT ON PEACE, FREEDOM & THE POWER OF HUMAN CONNECTION

Atlanta collective brings together music and skateboarding icon Chuck Treece, international recording artist and producer Rosey, and producer and experimental artist Aaron Hill, with featured contributions from BÓVELL, Lazuli Vane, and Patrick Taylor

ATLANTA, GA — Some bands are formed by chance. Others emerge from years of friendship, collaboration, and a shared belief that music can inspire people to see the world differently.

Posh Lyon is the meeting point of three accomplished artists whose careers have traveled remarkably different paths before converging at The Green House Atlanta, where they wrote, produced, and recorded their debut full-length album, For My Heroes, slated for release in January 2027.

The nine-song album brings together electronic music, reggae, calypso, hip-hop, soul, jazz, psychedelic textures, and experimental production, creating a sound that refuses to fit neatly into any one genre.

At its heart, For My Heroes is music about humanity.

The songs were born from conversations about a world that continues to devote extraordinary resources to conflict while so many people struggle simply to live. Rather than becoming a political statement, Posh Lyon turned those feelings into something hopeful: music rooted in peace, freedom, resilience, love, and human connection.

The band's message is simple: make love, not war. Raise consciousness rather than destroy it. Find the light, even when the world around you feels dark.

THREE MUSICAL WORLDS COLLIDE

At the center of Posh Lyon is Chuck Treece, a music and skateboarding icon whose influence has stretched across punk, alternative music, and skate culture for decades. Founder of the pioneering skate-punk band McRad, Treece is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose career has included performing and recording with artists including H.R. of Bad Brains, Jill Scott, and Santigold. In Posh Lyon, Treece brings that lifetime of musical exploration to vocals, guitar, bass, percussion, and beyond.

Rosey is an internationally touring independent recording artist, songwriter, producer, and co-producer of For My Heroes. Over a career spanning more than two decades, her music has appeared in television series, films, and national advertising campaigns while attracting listeners around the world. She has toured internationally as a solo artist and with her electronic project Lal Meri, with both projects appearing on the legendary Los Angeles radio program Morning Becomes Eclectic. Her musical life also extends into jazz, where she continues to write and perform with her own jazz group.

Rosey's relationship with independent music goes back even further. Before launching her recording career, she spent four years as a college radio DJ at WERS in Boston, an experience that helped shape her lifelong commitment to championing independent artists and the college and independent radio stations that give new music a place to be discovered.

Completing the trio is Aaron Hill, producer, songwriter, recording engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and co-producer of For My Heroes. Aaron and Rosey are co-owners of The Green House Atlanta, the Atlanta-area recording studio where Posh Lyon's music was written, developed, produced, and recorded. Outside Posh Lyon, Hill creates music as Loud Dave Noise, an experimental project combining psychedelic sound, avant-garde composition, live instrumentation, samples, and electronic production.

The album also features Atlanta artist and vocalist BÓVELL, whose soaring, neo-soul and jazz-inflected harmonies bring warmth and emotional depth to the record. A member of Atlanta band Moonlark, BÓVELL's voice beautifully intertwines with Rosey's throughout the album. For My Heroes also includes songwriting contributions from honorary Posh Lyon member Patrick Taylor of Trash Panda, whose collaborative writing helped shape several songs on the record.

Together, these artists bring punk rock, skate culture, jazz, electronic music, reggae, hip-hop, indie rock, soul, and experimental music into the same room—and the result is unmistakably Posh Lyon.

“WHEN IT GOES DOWN” INTRODUCES FOR MY HEROES

Posh Lyon introduced the project with its debut single, “When It Goes Down,” released June 26, 2026, the first of nine songs from For My Heroes.

The track established the foundation for what would follow: adventurous electronic production, global rhythms, powerful musicianship, and songs that confront difficult realities without surrendering to them.

Rather than telling listeners what to think, Posh Lyon's music asks them to feel, question, dance, connect—and imagine something better.

“THE PATH” FINDS LOVE IN THE DARKEST PLACES

The story continued with “The Path,” released July 31, 2026, an infectious, up-tempo collision of ragga-inspired dance rhythms, reggae, and electronic energy.

Featuring Rosey, Chuck Treece, and BÓVELL, “The Path” explores the idea of love taking root against the backdrop of a war-torn city—two people finding one another when everything around them seems to be falling apart.

It's a song about finding light in humanity's darkest places and the possibility that love, compassion, and human connection can survive even when circumstances suggest otherwise.

“DON’T GIVE UP ON THE FLOW” — AUGUST 21

The journey continues on August 21, 2026, with the release of “Don't Give Up on the Flow,” a positive, mid-tempo reggae banger built for late-summer days.

The song celebrates the beauty of people coming together and navigating the great sea of life through all of its unpredictable highs and lows—sometimes struggling simply to keep our heads above water, but trusting that if we stay in the flow, the boat will eventually carry us toward the sunset.

Written by Rosey, Aaron Hill, Patrick Taylor of Trash Panda/Lazuli Vane, the track features Rosey, and BÓVELL on vocals, with BÓVELL adding her signature neo-soul and jazz-inflected harmonies.

Chuck Treece performs guitar, bass, and percussion, while Rosey created the track's programming and produced the recording at The Green House Atlanta.

Warm, infectious, soulful, and deeply optimistic, “Don't Give Up on the Flow” brings together many of the musical worlds that define Posh Lyon—reggae, electronic production, soul, jazz, psychedelia, and global rhythms—into a song about resilience, trust, connection, and continuing forward even when the waters get rough.

POSH LYON LIVE

Posh Lyon's story extends beyond the studio. The band has already appeared at several festivals throughout the Atlanta area and continues to bring the music of For My Heroes to the stage.

With additional festival appearances ahead, Posh Lyon will perform at Tunes From the Tombs at Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 27, followed by the Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival in Alpharetta, Georgia, on October 10.

The band's live performances bring together the same eclectic collection of influences found on the record—electronic grooves, reggae and global rhythms, punk attitude, jazz musicianship, psychedelic sound, and an unmistakable spirit of improvisation and freedom.

These performances are part of an ongoing series of single releases and live appearances leading toward the arrival of Posh Lyon's nine-song debut album, For My Heroes, slated for January 2027.

Ultimately, For My Heroes isn't about fitting into a genre or telling people what they should believe.

It's about the people who keep going.

The people who create instead of destroy. The people who choose compassion over fear. The musicians, artists, dreamers, outsiders, peacemakers, and everyday heroes who continue looking for light when the world gets dark.
